Canada Playlist

Canada's club scene is pulling in two directions at once. In Montreal, SUUNCAAT blends hyperpop with drum and bass, cites A. G. Cook as an influence, and its recent single "the wash" is the one to queue. Vancouver's Automatic released the debut LP 1,000,000, a euphoric, improvised record built to make the crowd part of the process. Ottawa's Narcohypnotic goes darker, mixing industrial, EBM, doom and trip-hop on the debut album Death Disc. Toronto's nights run wide: the Queen West Club Crawl links Apt 200, Ultraviolet and Dock Ellis on one wristband, and Glimmering Dolls takes over The Garrison on 30 October for a five-hour girl pop and hyperpop night for the queer community.

This month the WorldWidePop Canada playlist didn't take anything new. No videos were added in October 2026, so the page stands on three tracks: RUSSELL!'s ON THE ROCKS, Honey C's Veteran and Haley Smalls' No Sleep. Those three artists are the whole list, and the newest entries are the place to start. A quiet month doesn't mean the scene has stalled. It means the page hasn't caught up with it yet.

Listeners are dialing in from Morocco, Germany and South Africa. For what comes next, watch the Toronto Halloween weekend and Exclaim's weekly Eh! List, which gathers new Canadian releases every week, including Carly Rae Jepsen and Chastity. CJAM's October Singles Club is also worth a listen, spotlighting Windsor and Detroit artists, including R. Solomon's "Having To Learn."
