October 2026 in the Bulgaria scene

Bulgaria's scene right now is pop built to be danced to, and Dara Ekimova sits at its centre. "Бягам" came first, then the duet "Недей да ме будиш" with Tino, which became one of the biggest Bulgarian hits in recent years, and "Дишам" won Best Song at the BG Radio Music Awards in 2024. Her videos carry the movement too. "c'est la vie" is built around choreography and a dance crew. The songs come out of a close circle of young Bulgarian writers and producers, Kristian Kostov among them, and that circle shows in the sound. After dark the city splits. OBLK in Sofia hosts underground hip-hop nights through October, and Malkata Tekila brings Mungo's Hi Fi for a set of jungle, dub, reggae, dancehall and hip-hop on 23 October.

Nothing was added to the WorldWidePop playlist this October, so its 116 videos stand as they were. The newest clips at the top tell the story: Dara's "Богиня" and "In My Head", her "После ще му мислиш", and her "Вече няма как" with Lubo Kirov, with MAHRINA's "KLIK KLIK" close behind. The pop side of the scene is holding the top of the list, and the newest entries are all in that lane.

Listeners are writing in from Romania, South Korea and Greece, which suggests the sound is travelling further than its home clubs. Next to watch is Dara's "Digitalno". Deezer lists it with credits to Dara, Dexter, C-Mo, Eva Parmakova and D-ZastA, though the page confirms nothing beyond those credits.
