Siberian Playlist

The scene this playlist tracks sits between Yakutsk and Mongolia, and our notes on it are thin, so we'd rather say less than invent a club map. What we can point to is Borgil's album *Big Dream II*, a Mongolian hip-hop release with Cyrillic-titled tracks and instrumental versions of its songs. The instrumentals hint at songs built to be played loud, but nothing we've found says how the album gets played in rooms. In Yakutsk, the big October date is Tooku Fest on 17 October at the Sakha State Circus. It's a family circus and animation festival, not a night out. We have no verified details on Siberian crews, dances or slang, so we won't guess at them.

This month, the WorldWidePop playlist holds three videos, and none were added in October. The most recent are NVK Saha's «Биир күн», a clip on the top five after the first contest week; DZE x Saryuna's "BUHYDEERE," from the Baagii Baagii channel; and Alihan Dze's "Бургэдэй хатар," from Hollaback Squad. Dze appears twice, once alongside Saryuna and once alone. A page this small and this still says something about the scene right now: the Siberian thread is quiet, and the few songs in it are rooted in regional TV and local rap rather than a busy club circuit.

Listeners who have commented are writing in from Mongolia and Kazakhstan, which fits a scene that crosses the border more than it sits in one city. Watch the Mongolian hip-hop thread. The *Big Dream II* instrumentals are the clearest lead we have, and Tooku Fest gives October a fixed point in Yakutsk. Anything else will need better sources before it goes on this page.
