Laos right now runs on collaboration. SOPHANA's records gather singers, rappers and producers onto one track. "Phaeng Ai" became a major digital courtship song, and "L A O (Lao Language)" makes the language itself the hook. Zamio P works from the other direction, building "Sabaidee" out of Lao culture and a bouncing beat that sends people dancing left and right. M.VIIZ, a seven-member Vientiane girl group under Mirale Music, bring a brighter, faster pop sheen to the same conversation. Much of the energy lives in concert halls and festival stages rather than clubs, since the sources name no specific club nights.

October was quiet on the WorldWidePop playlist. Nothing new came in this month, so the 14 videos stand as they are. The most recent additions still show the shape of the scene: Zamio P's "Savan girl" near the top, with a Lao track and a Thai ballad sitting beside it.
